There are just over thirty climbers who have reached the peaks of the “eight-thousanders”, but only one violinist has played the 12 most important Stradivaris in the world in less than two weeks, grouped together exceptionally for her to film a documentary and record a disc. This divine violinist is Janine Jansen, a Dutchwoman from Utrecht, making her debut at the STRADIVARfestival, in a duo with pianist Sunwook Kim. On the occasion of that project, the newspaper Repubblica nicknamed her “the woman who whispered to the Stradivaris”, and excuse me if that’s not much.
