Music without Candles

The Musical Evenings are back, identifying, even for this 12th Season, a very specific theme: "MUSIC WITHOUT CANDLES".  

In the era when the Candlelight Concerts format has proven to be the only one able to enthuse new segments of the public towards Live Music, one wonders: what really interests the listener willing to approach Great Music?  

Gone are the days when the ritual of pure listening was in itself sufficient to motivate people to attend concerts: today it becomes necessary to offer an experience, a story, a suggestion that, through listening and other sensory elements is able to excite and perhaps elevate spiritually.  

The proposals of this XII Season promise, as in past editions, original and unusual paths and keys to interpretation, with the caveat that no use will be made of gimmicks of easy appeal, such as candlelight, which have nothing to do with Music.

The Musical Evenings are the direct result of the activities of the Diapason Consortium Sound Workshop.  

Over the course of the Evenings, the Sound Workshop has returned a series of musical pieces that stand out for their variety, originality and cross-genre and repertoire, with numerous citywide first performances.  

The Musical Evenings events are offered by the Foundation of Piacenza and Vigevano as part of the Mentoring Project.
