IdentitArte - Sculture a Moltrasio
IdentitArte - Sculptures in Moltrasio, a widespread exhibition on the territory of Moltrasio, an "Orange Flag village" of the Italian Touring Club.
May 29, 2025 to September 30, 2025.
The exhibition is curated by art critic Luigi Cavadini and pays homage to Massimo Clerici, a sculptor from Moltrasio who recently passed away.
The exhibition includes first of all the two monuments by Massimo Clerici found along the Vecchia Regina dedicated to two musicians, Vincenzo Bellini from Catania, who stayed in Moltrasio several times between the 1920s and 1930s and composed "La Straniera" and "La sonnambula" there, and the Venetian Virgilio Ranzato, a well-known violinist and composer who spent part of his life on the shores of the lake.
Six works by Como artists (Fabio Ceschina, Vito Valentino Cimarosti, Alcide Gallani, Bruno Luzzani), two of which were made of Moltrasio stone especially for this exhibition, are then inserted in a path that starts from the Imbarcadero square and reaches the Town Hall terraces.
The event is part of the IdentitArte art review that will see several initiatives in Moltrasio during the summer and fall seasons.
