Autodromo di monza

Monza and Formula 1 are two excellences of Motorsport.

The Autodromo di Monza racetrack, located in the park by the same name, has hosted Italy's Formula 1 Grand Prix (organised by the Milan Automobile Club) without interruption since 1922.

The Italian round of the Superbike World Championship is also held here. This track offers both motorcycle and car enthusiasts thrills and chills year after year, where drivers speed along on the straight stretches and winding curves on a quest for a place on the podium.

The speed record of the Autodromo di Monza racetrack is held by Rubens Barrichello, the Ferrari driver who in 2004, during the Grand Prix trials, recorded a time of 1'21"046 at the average of 257.320 km/h.

The track has four long straight stretches, where Formula 1 cars can reach speeds of more than 330 km/h, along with eight curves: Goodyear, Biassono, Roggia, the first Lesmo curve, the second Lesmo curve, Serraglio, Ascari and Parabolica.

Over the years, the Monza circuit has expanded to become an authentic commercial complex with buildings and facilities designed to host every event. It is also home to a research centre where consumer products related to the road, driving and transportation vehicles are developed.
