Milano

Gardens in Milan. Discover the greener corners of our land. The region is famous for its lush parks and gardens.

Lombardy offers numerous options like lakes and Apine cliffs for enjoying outdoors tourism. Milan is ideal for staying in the open air with the Sempione Park, just behind the Sforza Castle: it spreads a lawn over and blends with the locals who come during the weekend or lunch breaks.

Go to the Indro Montanelli Gardens, Milan's first public space of this kind to be made. It was 1782 when architect Giuseppe Piermarini designed it. Bodies of water, monuments, conker-tree forests and the Civic Museum of Natural History and the butterflies oasis. A real piece of paradise between Corso Venezia and via Palestro that is definitely worth visiting.

The city proposes many itineraries for you to explore among orchards and green areas. Exotic flowers and plants abound in the Brera Botanical Garden, where an ancient Ginko Biloba specimen can be seen. Visiting gardens such as the one in Cascina Rosa can get you in contact with unique flora, a Japanese hazel that grows there is a particularly popular attraction.

Experiencing tourism in Milan gives way to pleasant surprises. Don't miss the chance to get some fresh air in the heart of Lombardy.
