I Fili del Destino - Metamorfosi
From October 24 to November 25, 2025 Solo Exhibition by Teodolinda Caorlin
The exhibition I Fili del Destino (The Threads of Destiny), a solo show by the Venetian artist Teodolinda Caorlin, opened on September 27 at the Como Silk Museum, marking an important stage in her artistic journey. In addition to the main venue in via Castelnuovo, where 28 works divided into two sections are on display, Villa Bernasconi in Cernobbio will host the textile work Metamorfosi (Metamorphosis) starting from its presentation on October 23, 2025.
The initiative is distinguished by the dialogue between cultural institutions and territories linked to the textile tradition: the Como Silk Museum, the Villa Bernasconi Museum in Cernobbio, the Sella Foundation, and Banca Patrimoni Sella, which weave together in a common project that enhances the universal language of contemporary textile art. Como and Biella, both UNESCO Creative Cities, meet in the fabric of this exhibition.
An ideal thread unites various territories and two important institutions in the Como area, shared by their link with the silk textile tradition.
Metamorfosi at Villa Bernasconi
A central moment of the project will be the presentation of the work Metamorfosi, which will take place on October 23, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the museum venue of Villa Bernasconi in Cernobbio, where it will be exhibited until November 25.
This highly evocative work will be in ideal dialogue with the Art Nouveau decorative cycle of the Villa, dedicated to the silkworm, and represents a profound reflection on change, rebirth, and inner transformation.
The choice to present Metamorfosi in Cernobbio is not accidental: the work acts as a conceptual bridge between historical memory and contemporary vision, in a place that already embodies the symbolic richness of silk and its metamorphoses.
