THE GREEN OF THE EMPIRE AND THE KINGDOM
Conference: Gardens, Nature and Science in the Napoleonic Era
The initiative celebrates the 25th anniversary of the European Landscape Convention and the 220th anniversary of the Royal Park of Monza. It is dedicated to the theme of landscape and gardens in Europe and Italy and analyzes the territorial and cultural transformations linked to policies that used landscape as an instrument of modernization and representation of power.
Through public parks and gardens, monumental green spaces and botanical gardens, a new vision of landscape as a meeting point between science, art and politics emerges.
