To commemorate the victims of the Foibe and the exodus of Istrians, Fiumans and Dalmatians
Tuesday February 10 the City of Monza will celebrate Remembrance Day, which commemorates the victims of the Foibe and the exodus of Istrians, Fiumans and Dalmatians after World War II.
The institutional ceremony, organized in collaboration with the Associazione Nazionale Venezia Giulia e Dalmazia - Monza and Brianza Provincial Committee will be held at 11 a.m. in Via Martiri delle Foibe (corner Viale Elvezia) and will be attended by the mayor and city authorities.
The Holy Mass in the Cathedral is scheduled at 6 p.m.
This year's celebrations associated with Remembrance Day will also include a moment of music and meeting, set for Sunday, Feb. 8, at 5 p.m.00, at St. Peter Martyr Church, with a concert performed by the European Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of Gallarate, conducted by Marcello Pennuto in collaboration with AlberoMusicale of Saronno and the Choir of the Liceo B. Zucchi of Monza.
