16th Edition Exhibition-Competition Painting and Sculpture
Back for its 16th edition is the Painting and Sculpture Exhibition-Competition, an initiative open to all art enthusiasts who wish to express their creativity during one of the liveliest times of the year for the city of Monza, coinciding with the renowned motorsport event at the Autodromo Nazionale.
Selected creations will be exhibited to the public at the Civic Gallery in Via Camperio 1, from September 6 to 14, 2025
PRIZES AWARDED
Three exhibitions:
Best figurative work.
The winner will be awarded a solo exhibition dedicated to him or her at the San Gerardo Library in March 2026
Best informal work
The winner will be awarded a solo exhibition dedicated to him or her at the San Gerardo Library in April 2026
Pier Franco Bertazzini Award
The winner will be awarded a solo exhibition dedicated to him or her at the San Gerardo Library in May 2026
TO PARTICIPATE
The competition is open to all artists no younger than 15 years old.
Participants must adhere to the proposed theme, representing the city of Monza, the Park and the Autodrome.
A maximum of two works can be entered.
The entry fee is €10.00 to be paid (in cash) upon delivery to APS - Association School of Painting and the Arts Alessandro Conti, to partially cover organizational expenses. Works are due on Friday, September 5 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
All art disciplines are allowed: painting, sculpture, mosaic, installation, photography, etc. The technique, genre and format of the work are at the author's discretion.
Paintings must be fitted with a hook and delivered preferably without glass. The frame is optional. Works on paper must be brought back on canvas or on a hard, durable medium.
Should the work need support or backing (sculptures/installations) it will be the responsibility of the artist.
The author's signature should not appear on the work. At the time of delivery, the works will be numbered and the artist will have his/her own reference number.
Works should be picked up on the days and times indicated in the program. Any works not picked up will remain the property of the Organizer.
TECHNICAL JURY.
It will consist of five qualified persons, whose judgment is final.
The criteria for evaluating the works are:
a. the effectiveness of communication
b. the originality of the work
c. execution and technique
POPULAR JURY
All visitors to the exhibition, starting from September 6 until 4 p.m. on September 14 will be able to vote for their three favorite works, according to the instructions given on site. The work with the highest number of votes will be awarded the "Popular Jury Prize"
Opening hours
Monday through Friday: 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
