The Bartolomeo Colleoni Folk Group, under the patronage of the Municipality of Martinengo, is pleased to announce the 45th Palio dei Cantù, to be held on: Saturday, October 18, and Sunday, October 19, 2025
During these two days, the historic center of Martinengo will be transformed into a charming medieval village from the 1400s, featuring historical reenactments in the village streets, court jesters, and battles between knights.
 

Program 
Saturday evening: 27th Marendì del Palio and Medieval Festival at the Castle: a walking dinner under the arcades featuring a medieval reenactment show and the “Lotteria del Palio” prize drawing.
Sunday: 45th Palio dei Cantu’:  Blessing of the banners, drawing of the horses, combat between knights, performance by the flag-wavers and musicians of the Contrada Prevostura of San Secondo Parmense (PR), historical parade with reenactors, historical reenactments through the streets of the village, and awards ceremony.&

We invite you all to join us in large numbers for this celebration of community, history, and tradition.
