Underwater Nativity (Laveno Mombello, VA) — For over 40 years, the Friends of the Underwater Nativity have been managing the installation of this underwater crib, placing the 42 statues on 5 metal platforms about 2-3 metres under the surface of the lake. As well as the traditional Nativity figures, there are also more particular characters, including the wanderer, the housewife, and the shepherd with sheep, there to enhance the nativity scene.

Ice Falls in Via Mala (Colere, BG) — The Via Mala is the old road between Val di Scalve in the province of Bergamo, and Val Seriana, in the province of Brescia. In the winter, it is transformed into an enchanted ice kingdom. It was built in 1865 replacing the original Mediaeval route that was used to transport minerals from the mines in Bergamo’s valleys.

Astronomy Evening (Castello di Cimbergo, Valle Camonica, BS) — A 12th-century building with a magnetic beauty, located on a rock spur overlooking the Valle Camonica, bears witness to the ancient battles as well as providing an exceptional viewpoint for some stargazing. Walking among the pines (Bosco del Chignolo, Triuggio, MB) — Bosco del Chignolo, a wood inside the Valle del Lambro Regional Park, is a refuge where you can stroll through the woods and the pines, as you explore nature in close contact. The Bosco del Chignolo is located between the Brianza municipalities of Triuggio and Tregasio. Its name comes from its particular triangular shape (Chignolo) with the tip facing northwards, like a chock, a mechanical instrument used to raise of move items and which, in the dialect of Brianza is known as a chignoeu.

Visit to a mediaeval village by night (Soncino, CR) — The imposing walls are the first thing to strike visitors arriving in Soncino. They are the village’s main characteristic and as far back as the 1400s, it appears in a drawing with its solid defence of fortress and walls, in the centre of the Lombardy plains. The village preserves its ancient layout, standing out above the countryside and covering some 2 km with a regular series of turrets and ramparts, as well as three gates.
