Piazza Torre Torcole

Location of the Alta Val Brembana which offers tourists a wide range of sporting, cultural and recreational activities.

In the upper Brembana Valley, in the heart of the Orobie Alps, the plateau of Piazzatorre is set into a beautiful mountain landscape connected to the Torcole Ski resort, in a sunny location at an altitude of 2,000 metres.

Here you can enjoy the many possibilities that snow has to offer for at least four months a year, including alpine skiing and snowboarding, with sports such as free riding on powder snow, or taking a ride on a bobsled or luge.

Ski enthusiasts can choose from a number of routes of varying length and difficulty, including the famous Bosco trail, one of the most beautiful and challenging in the entire Bergamo area, with its four kilometres in length and 700 metres in altitude, in the heart of a beautiful forest of conifers. Children and those taking their first steps can enjoy the easily accessible slopes, situated in the upper part of the town.

Those who love the peace and quiet of the mountains and want to avoid the crowds of the most famous places should come to Piazzatorre, so they can explore the ski touring trails or walk in the woods with snowshoes. With a little luck you may catch a glimpse of animals that live in the high reaches of the immaculate landscape, such as chamois, roe deer and wild roosters.

The small town of Piazzatorre has a wonderful variety of accommodations and is ideal for those looking for the authentic atmosphere of the mountains and the opportunity to taste the area's typical dishes.
