The ski resort of Ponte di Legno

The internationally-renown ski resort of Ponte di Legno is located in a unique position on the far northern foothills of the province of Brescia on the border with Trentino, in an area of great environmental importance, protected by the Stelvio and Adamello nature parks.

Ponte di Legno is a guarantee for snow lovers: the resort, which also includes the nearby ski area of Temù, is located between the glaciers of Adamello and spans from 1200 to over 3000 metres on the Presena glacier, where you can ski well into spring.

Winter sports lovers will be greeted by over 80 kilometres of trails that can also be explored on a snowboard: from the most demanding trails (approved for prestigious national and international competitions) to the easiest, perfect for children and beginners.

Here, freeriders are provided access to the most beautiful off-piste trails in the Alps (on the mountains of Mandrone Maroccaro , Cima Venezia, Pisgana) and ski tourers have the opportunity to explore unspoiled paths, some of which still preserve the memories the Great War, which the locals also refer to as the White War.

In Ponte di Legno you can enjoy an activate holiday without neglecting nature and relaxation by enjoying cross country skiing or discovering the mountain with snowshoes. At over 2500 metres above sea level, where the gondola and chairlift touch ground, you can relax in mountain huts and sunbathe while admiring the majestic panorama.

A special feature of Ponte di Legno is the opportunity to participate in sled dog excursions, a truly unique experience in contact with nature.

A historically-renown ski resort, Ponte di Legno offers a considerable supply of accommodations and has recreational and sports facilities suitable for all ages. Its characteristic architectural style still retains traces of the past, including the 17th century parish church with its impressive wooden altar attributed to the carving workshop of Domenico and Giovan Battista Ramus and the church of Sant'Apollonio in the town of Planpezzo, built around the year 1000.

Don't miss out on the local cuisine, which combines the traditions of Brescia and Trentino and enhances the local ingredients such as cheese, game and berries.
