Fosso del Ronchetto

Scopri l'Oasi Fosso del Ronchetto: una piccola formazione forestale di latifoglie e aghifoglie nel Comune di Seveso.

L'Oasi Fosso del Ronchetto è un'area vicina al Parco delle Groane, nel comune di Seveso in provincia di Milano.

Si tratta di un'area affidata a Legambiente e al WWF.

Il Fosso del Ronchetto ospita ambienti molto diversificati. Il bosco è dominato dalla robinia, piantato ovunque per usarne il legno come combustibile e da castagni, querce, ciliegi, carpini e olmi.

Il sottobosco ospita invece ricche fioriture di mughetti, favagelli, anemoni, pervinche e rari narcisi selvatici.

Particolarmente ricco è inoltre il corredo arbustivo: noccioli, cornioli, prugnoli, viburni, biancospini e rosa canina.

La fauna è abbondante: tra gli uccelli si segnala la presenza di picchi rossi, picchi verdi, allocchi, cince e rampichini, nelle ore notturne dai rami rumoreggiano i ghiri, mentre il sottobosco è percorso da ricci e arvicole.

L'ambiente è caratterizzato da piccole zone umide alimentate da acqua piovana: è qui che si riproducono la rana dalmatina, le rane verdi, la raganella, il rospo smeraldino, i tritoni crestati e punteggiati.

Il Fosso del Ronchetto si sta trasformando da bosco di robinia a bosco d'alto fusto, formato da alberi delle specie tipiche della foresta di pianura.
