Looks: Dottini - Morleo - Rubes
Glimpses Dottini - Morleo - Rubes Nearly six years after the passing of Angelo Dottini, a self-taught painter, two amateur artists, Angelo Rubes - photographer - and Giuseppe Morleo - photographer and painter - juxtapose personal works with some of their mutual friend.
The three shared part of their artistic journey by attending painting courses together at the University of the Third Age in Mantua, a sharing that enriched their friendship and led them to compare and exchange experiences. In this regard Morleo says, "It was important to have friends with the same passions." In the "dialogue" between the works around some thematic nuclei, their different LOOKS, expressed through different tools: the brush or the lens, are highlighted.
The authors Angelo Dottini began painting in 1973. His curiosity about painting techniques and interest in art led him to obtain manuals and texts to deepen his knowledge. Once retired he has more time to study and paint experimenting with new techniques. He took part in some group exhibitions at the University of the Third Age in Mantua and won second prize in a competition organized by the "Ca' Guerriera" holiday farm in Sustinente on the theme "The River." Giuseppe Morleo, who has always been passionate about drawing and photography, attends various photography and painting courses taught by artists and professionals.
He collaborates with the photography group "La luna e 6 soldi" participating in various slide shows. His works have been appreciated in exhibitions and competitions in Italy and abroad Angelo Rubes approaches photography in the early 2000s, using analog equipment. He also collaborates with the group "La luna e 6 soldi", participates in numerous photographic competitions and group exhibitions, obtaining appreciative feedback from the public not only in Italy. He carries out constant research experimenting with techniques in which photography and pictorial effects are blended.
The thematic nuclei - Dwelling - Between earth and sky - Still life - Beyond form - Passages of light A further look is the one that Claudio Marchetti, also a friend of Angelo Dottini, opens on the exhibition and expresses in the introductions through the use of another tool: the word.
