"Each initiative," stresses Assessore alle Pari Opportunità Andreina Fumagalli, "represents a fundamental step in building a community capable of preventing violence and supporting those who find the courage to ask for help. Monza renews its commitment to promoting rights, equality and freedom for all women: only by networking and giving space to women's voices can we generate real social change."
"It has great value, and not only symbolic, the active participation in the day for the elimination of violence against women by the officers of the Local Police - says Local Police Councillor Ambrogio Moccia -. It is a clear and unequivocal stance on the part of those whose task it is to ensure respect for legality and safety in the city, and who can and must set a virtuous example with their own actions."
"We are not looking for firsts," stresses Mayor Paolo Pilotto, "but for continuous collaboration with the realities of the territory to create opportunities of meaning or educational value, which can give everyone a voice. In my day-to-day experience as mayor, I have noticed that the feeling of many is that only the voices of a few count, because many often feel unheard. This is not the case. Every voice counts, and collaborating and creating opportunities for people to come together I think is one of our tasks."
