"Il Barbiere di Siviglia" at the Estensi Gardens

Have you ever been carried away by the charm of an opera in one of the city's most picturesque locations on a summer evening?

The magic of opera lands in the heart of the city of Varese with a new staging of Gioachino Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia, scheduled forSaturday, July 12 at 9 p.m. at the Giardini Estensi, as part of the Varese EstenseFestival Menotti.

A lively and original reinterpretation of Rossini's opera buffa, contaminated by Dadaist poetics and the irreverent spirit of the Commedia dell'Arte.

Protagonist of the evening will be the Orchestra Sinfonica Menotti, conducted by Maestro Riccardo Bianchi, with the participation of the Corale Lirica Ambrosiana. On stage a cast of leading voices from the opera scene: Luca Gallo (Bartolo), Camilla Vitaletti (Rosina), Nicola Ziccardi (Figaro), Enrico Iviglia (Lindoro), Albert Buttigieg (Basilio), Giacomo Capra (Fiorello) and Maria Chiara Cavinato (Berta).
