End of Summer Festival in Montemartino

On Saturday 29 August 2026, Montemartino, a hamlet in the municipality of Menconico, hosts the Festa di Fine Estate (“End of Summer Festival”), an evening organised by the “Gli Amici di Montemartino” APS association to bid farewell to summer with Spanish paella, a spectacular giant spit-roast and live music from Travelin' Band and Barracuda.

Paella and giant spit-roast take centre stage

The evening's signature dish comes straight from Spanish tradition: the paella will be prepared by Ristorante Taberna Movida of Piacenza, a restaurant specialising in Spanish cuisine, which will bring its large pan of rice, seafood and vegetables to Montemartino. Alongside it, for those after more familiar flavours, is the Spiedone Gigante, a giant spit-roast of meat and vegetables cooked over an open flame in the best tradition of Italian village festivals: two very different culinary proposals, designed to suit every taste in a single evening.

Live music with Travelin' Band and Barracuda

Dinner will be accompanied by live music from Travelin' Band and Barracuda, two acts that will keep the square of Montemartino alive well into the night, turning the food festival into a full evening of music and open-air conviviality.

Montemartino, in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese

Montemartino is a small hamlet of the municipality of Menconico, among the hilly and mountainous villages of the Oltrepò Pavese, not far from the Monte Alpe Nature Reserve. This rural, scenic setting makes an ideal backdrop for a village festival built around good food, music and outdoor life, in a still little-known corner of the province of Pavia that is full of atmosphere.

Taking part in the dinner requires booking by Wednesday 26 August, by calling 339 213 1140. A dedicated QR code for quick booking is also available on the event poster. Given the limited capacity typical of village festivals, early booking is recommended to secure a table.
