72th INTERNATIONAL RAID PAVIA – VENEZIA
La gara motonautica in acque interne più lunga al mondo
The Pavia Powerboating Association, in collaboration with the Venice Powerboating Association, is organizing—under the patronage of the Italian Powerboating Federation—the 72nd edition of the International Pavia-Venice Powerboating Raid, which will take place on Monday, June 2, 2025. The race will start in Pavia and finish in Brondolo–Chioggia–Venice on the same day.
The grand finale will feature a parade through the Venetian Lagoon, concluding at the Arsenale as part of the Venice Boat Show.
On Saturday, May 31, the historic center of Pavia will host a parade of around thirty vessels—including speedboats, RIBs, racing boats, and jet skis—that will pass through the city streets.
The boats will arrive on the morning of Saturday, May 31. In the afternoon, as in previous years, 35 boats will parade through the city, departing from the Powerboating Club and proceeding along Viale Libertà, Viale Battisti, then turning right onto Viale Matteotti and left onto Strada Nuova, crossing the historic Ponte Coperto.
That same day will also see the inauguration of a multimedia exhibition on the history of the Pavia–Venice Raid, while on Sunday, June 1, a pilot briefing will be held in Pavia ahead of the official start, scheduled for 7:00 AM on June 2.
The boats competing in the world’s longest river race will depart from the stretch of river in front of the Pavia Powerboating Club. Timing will be neutralized up to the confluence with the Po River at the Becca Bridge, where the official timing will begin.
