Milano Sanremo 2026
The first Monument Classic of the season will start in Pavia
The 117th edition of the Spring Classic will start from Pavia for the third time in history.
For now, the only certainty is the date — Saturday, 21 March 2026 — while, as expected, the route remains strictly confidential. The Milan–San Remo will once again set off from Pavia, but the exact course across our territory has yet to be defined; the details will be discussed again at the beginning of the new year during the customary official presentation.
The first time, in 2024, the race headed towards Stradella and Broni, continuing on to Casteggio before joining the traditional route. Last year, instead, there was a diversion through the Staffora Valley, with a first-ever passage through Rivanazzano Terme.
The only real certainty remains the start in Pavia, which on both occasions took place in Piazza della Vittoria — seemingly a fixed point for the organisers, also because it allows the team presentation to be held in the best possible way on the day before the Spring Classic.
