Valmalenco

Valmalenco, perpendicular to the valley of Valtellina and set among the highest peaks of the Rhaetian Alps, from Bernina to Pizzo Zupò and the massif of Disgrazia, has always made the most of its natural resources.

While farming and pastoral activities were the cornerstones of the 20th century economy, with the exploitation of the forests and the extraction of slate and soapstone, in recent years the area has turned to tourism.

The Lanzada skating rink is located in Ganda, at the Pradasc sports centre, which is easy to reach from Valmalenco, or the skating rink in the sports centre of Caspoggio .
