Soiano del Lago (BS)

This is found in the village of Chizzoline and was constructed in 1610 in honour of San Carlo Borromeo, who is said to have stayed here. The friars of San Rocco were entrusted with it when Venice decided to destroy their convent and the adjacent church because they did not have sufficient property to guarantee the maintenance of at least 12 monks. Inside one can admire the fabulous paintings by Bertanza.
