There was twice ... Como
SATURDAY 22 SEPTEMBER – SATURDAY 13 OCTOBER 2018
A show, which promises to be suggestive and enriching for the deep historical research, is the result of a work that is born and bases its roots in the text of Professor Giorgio Luraschi “History of Ancient Como” and wants to tell, once, how the city Como was an important centre in its pre-Roman phase that wants it placed in the mountains overlooking the confluence, then inhospitable marshy land, highlighting the modernity of a proto urban system that made it unique throughout the Transpadan territory, to underline, twice, the strength of the still today very evident Roman structure of the city that we know, the nerve center of trade and commerce, strongly desired by Julius Caesar, thanks to its strategic position and its lake, a real waterway to the Grisons and the Central Europe.
Even the photographic prints and the choice of an intense black and white wants to emphasize the strength of the architectural elements and highlight the characteristics.
