Flying Over Lake Como

Bellagio and Varenna. The profiles of historic houses. Flying over Lake Como, departing from the historic Aero Club.

Did you know that not only the oldest flying club, founded in 1930, but also the only school in Europe to get the hydroplane license is located in Como? We are talking about the Aero Club Como.

Walk along the lakeshore until arriving to the Volta Temple and the Memorial for the Fallen in war: the hangar can be found not far from there. It is possible to take part of introductory flight sessions upon request with experienced pilots.

Conquer the fear of heights and discover the thrill of entering the pilot's cabin and getting the aircraft to touch the lake surface. Why not? Perhaps you might even want to take some lessons and get a license!

You can admire small cities such as Bellagio and Varenna from above, watch historical mansions and castles, see Villa Balbianello at the Lavedo peninsula and the Comacina island not far from there.
