READING THE SKY music and words around Etty Hillesum

What happened the day after the decree preventing Jewish musicians from performing in concert halls was issued? Through the testimony of Etty Hillesum (1915-1943), a Dutch Jewish writer, and thanks to some documents from the music circle that revolved around her brother Mischa, a journalist unearths splinters of this story.

From Almost Blue to Just Friends, the duo has imagined a journey through Baker's favorite themes, blending them with their own compositions in an exciting game of mirrors.

CFour-handed jazz concert dedicated to Bach for the different twins piano and harpsichord.
A jazz pianist and a harpsichordist: it sounds like the beginning of a joke, instead it is a summit meeting in the world of keyboards between two instruments so equal and so different: plucked and struck strings. A true discovery, an Italian premiere.
Édouard Ferlet is a jazz pianist with a refined swing. His album Think Bach was a total success: from Télérama to Jazz Magazine,critics were fascinated by his approach and the quality of his piano playing. Violaine Cochard, a great Bach enthusiast, is considered one of the best ambassadors of her instrument. This project is the result of an encounter between struck and plucked strings. Side by side, each with his or her own instrument, the two musicians dialogue on Bach's music, between original scores and original improvisations.

Livietta and Tracollo

Operina buffa by Pergolesi.
A small ironic and playful gem. Probably the most important example of commedia dell'arte in music, Pergolesi's Livietta e Tracollo continues to entertain audiences nearly 300 years after its premiere. The libretto recounts the vicissitudes, disguises and attempted frauds of the clumsy Tracollo constantly unmasked by the wily Livietta. In a project to bring us closer to the world of opera, this staging of Pergolesi's opera will be able to satisfy the taste of even the youngest audience, in the full tradition of the Italian commedia dell'arte.

Meet the Orchestra open rehearsals with the Canova Orchestra
What happens in the days leading up to a concert? How do the musicians work to achieve the desired result?Under the guidance of conductor M° Enrico Pagano, the musicians of the Canova Chamber Orchestra tackle the preparation and performance of the pieces scheduled for the following day, Monday, April 7, at Stabat Mater & Jesus' (Blood Never Failed Me Yet) grand closing concert of the Monza Music Meetings 2025.

The Elephant and the Rain Masai fairy tale
Who does the air, the sun, the rain belong to? An engaging and thoughtful musical fairy tale between sung storytelling, ethnic percussion, and pantomime.
It certainly seems that the elephant in this ancient African fable resembles humankind who believes itself to be the master of the earth. It defies the laws of creation, uses blind destructive force and, perhaps with the help of tame guardians, defends a resource that does not belong to it. The play hides a simple metaphor and an effective moral: water comes down from the sky for everyone, and everyone can be bathed and quenched by it. Water is nourishment, water is life.
