43rd Edition of the International Exhibition of Illustration for Children
The International Exhibition of Illustration for Children The Images of Fantasy,which this year is tinged with the colors of nature, the theme chosen as the leitmotif of the exhibition route.
The exhibition is organized by the Monza Urban Library System, which curates not only guided tours, but also collateral activities and scheduled events.
Sections
Guest of Honor: The Guest of Honor section is dedicated to the illustrator Jesús Cisneros and features more than fifty works including originals, editorial projects and notebooks. His illustrations take the audience on a symbolic journey through forests, architecture and interior landscapes, interweaving literary references and universal themes such as transformation and research. With a refined and poetic sign, Cisneros invites us to observe the world with an intimate and contemplative gaze.
Collective on the theme "Nature and Visions"
Twenty international illustrators work on the theme, articulating the exhibition in different categories:
Nature and Art: works that explore the artists' personal relationship with nature.
Nature and Hope: nature as a promise of the future and an invitation to rediscover freedom and wonder.
Nature and Childhood: memories and landscapes real or fantastic that evoke the spontaneous gaze of children.
Nature and Science: nature as discovery, amid metamorphoses, animals and plants observed with curiosity.
The World of Štěpán Zavřel:the Magic Fish, created in collaboration with Mafra Gagliardi, which narrates the journey of a golden fish that leaves its canvas to explore the world
