Costruire, Abitare, Pensare
Mantua, the capital of the Renaissance, returns to the spotlight with “Costruire, Abitare, Pensare. Sabbioneta e Charleville Città Ideale dei Gonzaga”, a major exhibition dedicated to ideal cities, thanks to the loan of an exceptional work: the famous “Ideal City” painting from the Palazzo Ducale in Urbino.
The exhibition, curated by Peter Assmann and Paolo Bertelli, will compare Mantegna’s Camera degli Sposi and the Urbino masterpiece: two symbolic works that will be on display for the first time in a single venue, enlightening the city of the Gonzagas with reflection about the values of the Renaissance and the theme of the ideal city.
