This cycle path starts from Castellanza and runs along river Olona and its valley, rich in history from the High Middle Ages.
Part of this path covers the track of the former Valmorea railway, built in 1926 to connect Castellanza with Mendrisio.
You’ll also be crossing the Medio Olana park and the Rile-Tenore-Olona park, and you’ll get to see the Torba Monastery (a Unesco site and a Lombard fortified military base with the Castelseprio archaeological park) and Castiglione Olona, known as the “Tuscan island in Lombardy”.
