From the Curò among the flowers of the Seriana Valley
Apleasant itinerary with breathtaking views that from the Curò Refuge will take us to Mount Cimone, places immersed in an area of great naturalistic value.
Among green shrubs, waterfalls and sharp rocks you will discover two species that are decidedly rare on the Orobie: the silvery bushes of the Helvetian willow and the splendid blue blooms of the Alpine columbine.
Starting from the Curò Hut, you will walk along the large Barbellino basin until you meet the Val Cerviera stream with its beautiful waterfall. Turn right onto trail 321, which quickly gains elevation and comes out into a long, almost flat section; cross the stream by climbing diagonally up the scree slope toward the rocky step that bars the valley, from which a tall small waterfall falls.
Paying attention to some somewhat slippery passages, one arrives at a vast undulating plateau from which, one shortly reaches the small lakes. Those who still have sufficient energy can push higher up, on the always interesting Mount Cimone boulders.
Val Cerviera is traversed by the initial part of the "Antonio Curò Nature Trail," a fairly long trail for experienced hikers, which reaches Passo del Vivione and requires an overnight stay at the well-known Rifugio Tagliaferri.
