31st Lake Maggiore Music Festival
LagoMaggioreMusica Festival, the summer event signed by Gioventù Musicale d'Italia that enchants audiences each year with the best of emerging musical talent, is back. From July 25 to Aug. 23, the festival lights up extraordinary places in one of Italy's most scenic territories with notes, bringing to the stage young Italian and international musicians who have already been awarded in the most prestigious competitions and critically acclaimed.
Now in its thirty-first edition, the Festival transforms the two shores of Lake Maggiore into a diffuse stage where great classical music meets innovation, in a living dialogue between the masterpieces of the chamber music tradition, the twentieth century and new experimentation. It all takes place in breathtaking locations: cloisters, historic palaces, abbeys and hermitages open to the public for a unique experience that blends art, landscape and talent.
Promoting the festival for years is the Fondazione Gioventù Musicale d'Italia, which has always been at the forefront of supporting young musicians in the delicate transition from training to professional career. A clear and passionate mission: to transform talent into the future, offering concrete opportunities for growth and visibility.
Spreading music among young people thanks to young people: this is one of the main goals of the Foundation, which continues to discover and enhance emerging excellence in the music scene. A commitment made even more solid by the historic link with the Fédération Mondiale des Concours Internationaux de Musique (FMCIM).

The summer festival on Lake Maggiore closes on Saturday, August 23, in Laveno Mombello with a special evening: from 7:30 p.m., the public will be treated to a tasting with wines from Cascina Piano di Angera and delicacies from I BALDI - Dal forno alla cantina di Laveno, followed at 9 p.m. by a concert by the wind septet L'Usignolo. The ensemble has for years been pursuing a project of rediscovering tradition by revisiting the musical practice of "wind concerts" from Barco (Reggio Emilia) and reworking dance music scores from the late 19th century.
For the final evening of the Festival, the Nightingale Ensemble presents us with La Traviata ballabile, a reinterpretation for winds of Verdi's music transcribed by Fabio Codeluppi, which enhances its popular and sentimental matrix.
