The Rock Drawings of Valcamonica

The rock drawings of Valcamonica are a fascinating and unique place where mankind and the environment have been together since prehistoric times.

The great cycle of Valcamonica art started at the end of the Upper Palaeolithic period to the end of the I millennium BC, but the practice of rock carving continued long after the valley was conquered by the Romans, through the Middle Ages and to the modern period.

This great cultural heritage can be admired in eight parks, different in altitude and trails: some are flatter and have facilities, others are in the mountains along hiking trails.
