Walking in nature is indeed exciting. But walking in a Nature Reserve is simply unique.

With this trek you can discover the natural beauty of Val di Mello: an environment full of streams, waterfalls, small lakes and rocks in the green that transform the valley into a little piece of paradise.

The trail begins on the bike/pedestrian path that runs along the Masino Torrent, near Visido. Passing by the Remenno rock, the largest monolith in Europe, you arrive in San Martino.
Follow the road in the direction of Ca' Panscer, arriving at the recently formed Qualido Pond. Leaving the small town of Ca' di Carna, you reach the picturesque pond called Bidet della Contessa, until you reach Cascina Piana, a locality famous for its granite walls ideal for climbing enthusiasts.

Further on, in the vicinity of Rasica, the trail enters the forest, surrounded by large granite boulders, passing Torrone Creek and the Cascata della Chiusa, in a backdrop that seems like a fairy tale. Skirting the lower edge of the Oasis Plaques, you continue until you catch a glimpse of the alpine pastures of Alpe Pioda. Before reaching the summit, there is a viewpoint over the Val di Mello that allows you to admire it in all its splendor.

After enjoying the view, you can retrace the same route as on the way up, or you can move to the left side of the valley by following the alternative path, on the left side of the Mello Stream, which still leads back to the starting point.

A walk that retraces the naturalistic beauty of the area, to turn any sunny day into a real fairy tale to tell.
