The Decauville of the Orobic Alps  was originally built at the beginning of the Twentieth century as a railway used to build and maintain the several hydroelectric plants in the area and has now become an easy trail suitable for excursions on foot or by mountain bike. This route is particularly popular in summer, when the heat in the valley floor makes inhabitants wish for some fresh air in the cool woods crossed by the trail.

The trail runs almost entirely flat at an altitude of 900 m a.s.l. and crosses the Parco delle Orobie Valtellinesi, with amazing views of the Rhaetic Alps, creeks and pristine woods.
