Raffaello and the echo of the myth
Raffaello returns to the Accademia Carrara in Bergamo with a major new exhibition that explores the works and legend of the genius of Urbino, starting with the painting of San Sebastiano, part of the permanent collection at the Carrara.
The over 60 works on display will include some of the most significant paintings by the young Raffaello, on loan from major Italian and international museums, notably the Gallerie degli Uffizi in Florence, the Hermitage in St. Pertersburg, the Brera Pinacoteca and the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
