The route winds through the Ticino valley in the stretch from Turbigo to Bernate, discovering the irrigation civilization of the Naviglio Grande and the woods and meadows of the Ticino.

It can be traveled with departure and arrival from the Turbigo train station, even imagining a move from Milan by train + bike.

To start, after a visit to the center of Turbigo, it is suggested to move in the direction of Malvaglio, a locality that falls within the municipality of Robecchetto con Induno crossing the first rural and Green areas, typical of the Ticino Valley. From here you can reach the characteristic Cascina Cirenaica, which, while using historical irrigation canals, is distinguished by modern farm concepts attentive to animal welfare and biodiversity.

From the river terrace of the Ticino you can then descend both in the direction of Cascina Galizia, which is located in a basin surrounded by woods, but with splendid views of the Naviglio Grande. And here you can also enjoy the 'local hospitality with offerings of the area's quality products. Both in the direction of Cascine del Guado where you can cross the small bridge over the Naviglio Grande and continue southward.

The itinerary can then continue along the Naviglio, touching on the villages of Castelletto di Cuggiono and Bernate Ticino, appreciating along the way the hydraulic water regulation artifacts, the historical crops such as the "vite maritata" (in Bernate), the villas of delight (e.g., Villa Clerici in Castelletto di Cuggiono) and important religious complexes such as the Rectory of Bernate.

Finally, the stretch from Bernate up north between the Naviglio and the Ticino allows one to cross marshlands and water meadows surrounded by hygrophilous forests with a predominance of alders and willows thanks to the rich soils of the Naviglio's perculations.

This highly biodiverse landscape is beautiful in every season, but particularly striking in winter when the marches retain their bright green color.
