This province is rich in natural and ancient environments that are little known and visited. The beech forest is one of these enchanted places, getting lost in its paths is magic. Its trail is a looped dirt and bike path through millennial broadleaf forests and waterways rich in fauna and flora that is intertwined with other paths through the Ticino Park.

The route, which is completely flat, is the subject of Ticino Park's forest improvement works. Reaching the vicinity of the water, black alders and marsh vegetation can be found; along the banks of the river and canals are strips colonized by Black Poplars and various species of Willows.

The cultivation in the eastern part, the forest, the Ticino and the Dead Branch make the environment rich in differentiated habitats, which favor a wide wildlife presence both in quantity and quality of the species present.
