MONZART AT CIVIC MUSEUM - ARS NATURAE
On the occasion of the 22nd Contemporary Art Day, the contemporary art event promoted by Monza’s art galleries returns: the cloister of the Civic Museums is hosting 4 site-specific by an equal number of artists.
The exhibition consists of site-specific sculptures selected by ARCgallery, ARTI<>STA, LEOgalleries, and Monica Villa
The exhibition is open during the museum’s regular hours.
The exhibition takes shape thanks to the contributions of various artists, each with their own artistic vision and distinctive style:
ValentinaKi – Black Algae
With *Black Algae*, part of the *Algae Unveiled* project, ValentinaKi explores the complex phenomenon of toxic algae in the Baltic Sea. Algae, the lungs of the sea, become a metaphor for an ecosystem that breathes and suffers, marked by the human footprint.
Pino Di Gennaro – Nomadic Forest
Pino Di Gennaro’s bronze sculptures form a group of trees: three vertical figures that interact with one another like fragments of an inner landscape. Di Gennaro’s artistic vision addresses crucial themes: climate change, the fragility of the planet, and our responsibility toward living beings.
Franz Stähler – Flower in the Cloister
Franz Stähler’s work features an oversized flower emerging from the stone floor of the cloister. A seed carried by the wind, perhaps, that found fertile ground out of pure instinct for survival. Stähler’s flower serves as a bridge between the real and the imaginary, between Nature and its ability to be reborn even where it shouldn’t.
Marianna Gasperini – Seeds
Marianna Gasperini’s two large blown-glass seeds hold the origin: that which is not yet, but can become. The seed becomes a metaphor for transformation: a tenacious act of life, capable of transcending its own boundaries and inhabiting the world.
