MONZA MONTAGNA 2026
21st edition of the Mountain Festival
MonzaMontagna is the Mountain Festival organized annually by Monza’s historic mountaineering clubs, whose goal is to bring more and more athletes and enthusiasts closer to the mountains. A festival that revolves entirely around the fascinating world of the mountains and brings together sports, culture, tradition, and solidarity. With a program that is always rich and engaging, it features meetings with world-renowned authors, mountaineers, and athletes, as well as film screenings, charity events, concerts, exhibitions, and excursions open to everyone.

Public presentation of the MonzaMontagna Festival 2026 program and the various activities organized by Monza’s mountaineering clubs.
Accompanied by a charity chestnut roast to benefit the Maria Letizia Verga Committee.

MEET THE AUTHOR: POPI MIOTTI PRESENTS THE BOOK “RACCONTI DI CRINALE E ALTRI SCRITTI”
A mountaineer and one of the leading figures of the movement known as “sassismo” in Val di Mello, Popi Miotti, in his book “Racconti di crinale e altri scritti” (MonteRosa Edizioni), collects stories spanning a long period of his life (1976–2022). A curious and entertaining blend of reality and fantasy to discover alongside the author.

CROSSALPS—CROSSING THE ALPS IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF WALTER BONATTI
CROSSALPS, a collective Alpine crossing from the Julian Alps to the Maritime Alps, told through words and images: 7 months of travel, 30 expeditions, more than 2,000 km and 120,000 meters of elevation gain, 50 peaks summited. The project, conceived and organized by the CAI Parma Chapter, is inspired by the historic 1956 crossing by Bonatti and Longo.
