Segni Festival 2026
Founded in 2006, the SEGNI New Generations Festival is a unique event in Italy—an international festival of art and theater aimed at children and teens aged 18 months to 18 years. The festival engages schools, families, and all those who love theater, artistic exploration, and the languages of the arts. Some of the most renowned and innovative Italian and international artists and companies on the global scene perform in shows, workshops, and art experiences in the most beautiful locations throughout the city of Mantua.
Over the course of 17 editions, the SEGNI Festival has established itself as an unmissable highlight of Mantua’s cultural life—a unique event of national and international significance designed specifically for children, teenagers, schools, and families from all over Italy. SEGNI’s artistic project is the result of a cultural strategy that frames the festival as the collective creation of a year-long performance, in which actors, artists, organizers, and audience members come together to grow culturally as a community.
SEGNI AL GIGLIO—This multidisciplinary festival takes place across various locations on the island of Giglio, catering to local families and tourists alike. It fosters a sense of community by engaging and fostering intergenerational dialogue between teenagers and tourism and cultural professionals from across Italy and Europe. Now in its 2nd edition in 2022, the festival features 14 days of multidisciplinary, site-specific performances for various audiences in open-air settings, addressing the need to provide a cultural offering that—while dedicated to passing visitors such as tourists—contributes to the building of a cultural community.
