The return of Estorre
Opening of the section dedicated to Ettore Visconti
The Return of Estorre. On Saturday, November 7, at 5:00 p.m., the new section of the Museum and Treasury of Monza Cathedral—designed and built to house the mummified body of Estorre Visconti—will be inaugurated.
Returning from its long “stay” in Milan, during which it underwent scientific studies and examinations, the body will find its new home in the museum.
“But is Estorre still there? Where is the mummy?”. After more than three hundred years, Estorre Visconti, Lord of Monza, is symbolically returned to the people of Monza—not only in body, but in his entire historical and human story: that of a military leader and that of a man.
