Wine and Flavor Trail Varese Valleys

The Wine and Flavor Trail of Varese Valleys represents a large territory that encompasses the mountain range and reaches the Lombard shores of Lake Maggiore.

Its green landscape is lush and counts with plenty of water, with the Alps serving as a background, it comprises Valcuvia, Valmarchirolo, Valganna, Valceresio and the Valleys of Luino.

This itinerary can be traversed mostly using its bicycle lanes. There are three paths that allow you to go on a journey enjoying fine wine and unparalleled flavor among a relevant cultural and architectural heritage.

Besides its natural scenery and culinary specialties, there are splendid boroughs along the lake front: Luino, Gavirate, Laveno Mombello, just to mention a few. Visit ancient fortifications such as Maccagno's Imperial Tower and the Fortress of Borromeo in Angera.

We would like to mention the painted town of Arcumeggia as well, among aristocratic villas and museums there is the International Ceramics Design Museum (MIDeC) and the Floriano Bodini Museum in Gemonio.

Ronchi Varesini is this zone's IGT wine, while cheeses like the Formaggella Luinese DOP and goat samalis will bring authenticity to any dining table.

The Wine and Flavor Trail of Varese's Valleys is an experience that you should not miss.
