Garda s olive oil

Garda DOP Olive Oil originates from the hills of Lake Garda, made by generations of producers that have studied, evaluated and selected local varieties of mono varietal oils to achieve an absolute balance.

This precious oil features two main characteristics: a delicate flavour (which varies from north to south of the lake depending on the terrain, the varieties and different microclimates) and a fresh aftertaste typically associated with sweet almond -  a real joy for the palate. Garda DOP Olive Oil is produced in the provinces of Brescia, Verona, Trento and Mantua. The Consortium of Garda DOP Olive Oil counts 486 member olive growers with DOP Garda certification, 20 mills and 19 bottlers. The producers of Lake Garda Oil are divided into 67 towns, resulting in a total of about seventy labels. The cultivation of the olive tree on the shores of Lake Garda has ancient origins and traditions. The populations of Lake Garda have grown olive trees since Roman times, as attested to by writers including Catullo, D'Annunzio, Goethe and Carducci. Garda's olive oil is the oil that is produced furthest to the north in the world
