Restaurants Open Late in Milan
Here are some tips for places open until late where to eat
We have all, at one time or another, missed dinner time and had nothing to eat. And above all…we did not want to go to bed on an empty stomach!
Even in a big city like Milan, sometimes, it is not so easy to find things open after regular hours. But here are some "lifesaving" addresses, to bear in mind for similar situations.
If you can't resist the temptation of a hamburger, there is, for example, Burbee, open 7 days a week until 00.30h in Via Castel Morrone 7.
Don't be misled by the name, because hamburgers here are also vegetarian.
You can design your own bun and choose the kind of meat and vegetables you want, even the bread best suited! And to go with it all, there is a choice of real ale to match as you choose.
If the temptation of ethnic cuisine is irresistible… you could try Cueva Maya, where the key word is "Mexico". In an interior with ochre tints, referencing the Maya, you can taste tortillas, chilli con carne and fajitas, while sipping sangria. The restaurant is closed on Mondays, the kitchen is open until 00.30h – Viale Monte Nero 19.
Fancy a pizza? Well go to Spontini – you can choose which, because they have 6 different branches in Milan. They are famous for their slices of thick pizza, normal and generous portions… you won't be able to complain of being hungry!
Normally open to about midnight, apart from the one in Via Santa Redegonda 11, which is open till 1 a.m.
In the Navigli – Porta Genova area, one safe bet is Woodstock 3, in Via Vigevano, open until 2.00 a.m. First courses, mains and pizza. Informal atmosphere and modest prices, with a full menu where it is impossible not to find something to you please you!
New this year is Eataly Milano Smeraldo in Piazza XXV Aprile 10. Open every day until midnight, you can find themed restaurants open until 11 p.m. (except for the Pasticceria - La Cioccolateria and the Caffetterie which open until midnight) where you can choose from a menu of pasta, vegetables or just cold cuts and cheese. Not to mention sustainable fish and the rotisserie, specialising in meat.
