Valfurva (1339 m a.s.l.) is crossed by the torrent Frodolfo. In this valley nature is rich   and   unspoilt. The whole right hill slope is part of the Stelvio National Park.

The Valfurva is like a queen crowned by the imposing ranges of the Ortles-Cevedale – with Italy’s widest glacier of the Forni – and of the Gavia-Sobretta and gives pure emotions to all lovers of alpine skiing, ski mountaineering, Nordic skiing and mountaineering.

A thrilling downhill on the Deborah Compagnoni ski run - the Olympic champion born on these mountains – the enchanting route for Nordic skiing that runs deep into the wood.

In summertime the many Alpine huts all over the surrounding mountains become delightful destinations for hikes or more demanding treks. If you are a mountain bike fan you can choose from the simpler routes to the most challenging ascents, which made the history of cycling: the Gavia, the Mortirolo and the Stelvio.

In Valfurva you can breathe fresh mountain air but also art and culture: in Uzza do not miss the octagonal church of the Beata Vergine della Misericordia (early XVIII c.) and the church of S. Rocco, which was probably erected in 777 and rebuilt in 1491; in S. Nicolò the parish church of the Saints Nicolò and Giorgio, which existed even before 1228; in S. Antonio the church of di S. Antonio Abate, recorded in 1421, and the  Museo Vallivo della Valfurva (Valfurva’s  Museum of the Valleys).
