Experience tour in Villa Bordone La Rocchetta
SATURDAY 27 JULY 2019, 03.30 – 05.00 PM
Visit accompanied by a wonderful eclectic villa of the early decades of the twentieth century, to discover the artistic culture, the fashions and the daily life of the upper bourgeoisie of the ’20s. The dwelling was built between 1920 and 1923 by the architect. Andreani, commissioned by the industrial Giovanni Gussoni, with truly surprising artistic and architectural solutions. The structure has a “butterfly” plant and recalls a late medieval castle, with Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic and Art Nouveau additions. The interiors, fully furnished with custom-made ’20s furniture, impress its visitors with plays of light, views and “technological” solutions for the time, like a curvilinear “fly eye” window. Moreover, during the journey between the living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms of the dwelling, visitors can learn about the curiosities, customs, and customs of that era, even characterized by their own “etiquette of good manners”. The experience will end with a visit to the large garden, once a farming complex, then readapted into a romantic park, with the addition of facilities for recreation and hunting, such as large cages to contain the ferocious animals, so loved by the historic owner.
