Tour of Milan's squares and public art
Admire all the great monuments that dominate the squares and open spaces of the city and learn how public art has changed in the last two hundred years.
Join a tour that will show you a different perspective of the city. You'll get to discover all the great monuments of illustrious figures or plastic forms of mysterious elegance that dominate the squares and open spaces of the city. I'll be an unusual opportunity to observe the pieces of art that guard the streets and squares of Milan, but also an opportunity to learn how public art has changed in the last two hundred years. Vittorio Emanuele, Piazza Duomo, Parini del Cordusio, Manzoni were conceived around the Scala, but with the twentieth century, the idea of the square as a public place has changed and politicians, intellectuals or heroes of the Risorgimento have added monuments that are less and less easy to understand, often obscure references to the complexity of our times. Listen to the stories of these unique masterpieces and more by taking part in this small-group tour of the city's public art.
