VARENNA and its hamlets including Vezio Castle visit and local olive oil tasting.
WOODS, OLIVE TREES, POLLIBRERIE AND WONDERFUL VIEWS ON LAKE COMO
A circular itinerary, partly on the Wayfarer Trail on Varenna Hills, far from crowd, far from busy traffic, immersed in an historic hamlet where we will discover the history and traditions of Lake Como region and last but not least wonderful views on Lake Como.
After visiting Vezio castle offering wonderful views on the Lake, we will discover the northernmost area in Europe where olive trees can be cultivated, unexpected reading and bookcrossing areas, warm welcoming by local people living in a small village, the farming past of a village proud of its past but turned to the future.
Packed lunch in Nature including local food we can buy in old shops in Varenna and olive oil tasting on request and according to availability.

EQUIPMENTS AND CLOTHES
- Hiking shoes with gripping soles to walk safely on paths.
- Backpack to carry personal belongings, spare clothing, and food and water supplies; packed lunch.
- Dress in layers according to the season (shirt, long-sleeved shirt, Fleece jacket or sweatshirt, rain and wind stopper jacket).
- A second-hand book to share at the bookcrossing in the pollibreria;
